Pre-Birthday Wish List

 

 

Every year I make a birthday list starting the first of fall for my November birthday. When I was little, this list would be large and then whatever I didn't get for my birthday I would put on my Christmas list. Genius right?

I will be 32 this year (cue the sad face emoji) but I plan on celebrating the anniversary of my birth as if I were 21. Birthdays are the one time of year when the day is yours and everyone should take full advantage of that!

So, I have started a little list (that gradually grows every week).

I usually put things I need (out of perfume and could use new gym shoes), something to wear, and something fun b/c who doesn't love a hot pink diamond speaker?

I am loving the poncho craze! I have bought 3 in the past month and am itching for weather to turn cool so I can wear!

 

Nordstrom has the BEST selection (several are listed above) of ponchos in their Junior dept. Don't let the word "Junior" discourage you b/c most items are also listed in women's sizes.

 

If a poncho doesn't scream FALL then I don't know what does! Love pairing these with skinny denim or leather pants. You can dress them up or down and will stay cozy!

It's that time of year again....FOOTBALL SEASON!!!! Or if you are me, it's TAILGATING TIME!

 

It's no secret that fall is my favorite season, but when you add Stillwater, friends, tailgating...it becomes a party!

 

I like to look cute and comfy on football days (lots of walking and I'm not 21). The outfit above will no doubt be my football season uniform this year.

 

Comfy grey tee (b/c I like to make orange an accent piece), black skinnies, boots (duh), and a pop of OSU orange either as a purse or jewelry.

 

Wearing a crossbody bag on game days is essential. You need one hand free for holding a koozie and another arm to hug every friend you haven't seen since last season. I love this Tory Burch one above.

 

Speaking of hands free, the Apple Watch would be a perfect accessory on Saturdays in Stillwater. With your phone safety in your bag, this watch will alert you when you have a call or text by vibrating your wrist. I just bought one and am a little obsessed.

 

These orange Kendra Scott earrings will definitely be making an appearance on my ears. I love the shape and size. Perfect OSU orange!

 

Obviously all of you guys aren't OSU fans, you can switch up your college colors for the accent piece when cheering for your teams this season.

I have not been day dreaming of a tropical island or sitting on the beach with a daiquiri in my hand...I have been longing for FALL!!

The thought of booties, leather and buffalo check button ups make my heart skip a beat!

I mean, my sister and I are already stocking up on candy corn ...but that's another problem and another addiction...we will concentrate on fashion today.

One of the best things about the upcoming season are mixing patterns! I am obsessed with checked tops and leopard shoes. Throw in a pair of leather skinnies and you will no doubt look like a total smoke show!

The outfit above is so versatile b/c it can be dressed up or down. This will be my uniform from Oct to Feb and I will have no problem being a total repeat offender.
