Shower Season!

 

Not going to lie....besides being love and planning a gorgeous wedding, shower gifts have made this whole engagement thing not so bad.

I am SO blessed to have the most amazing friends and family who have thrown us the best showers ever!  It has been like Christmas and my birthday all rolled into one!

If I could give ANY advice to brides it would be to register for things you really need, want and at different price points (not all of your friends are going to show up with a Vitamix).

We have gotten several of the amazing gifts I have listed above and if I HAD to pick my TOP 2 FAVS it would be the All Clad Slowcooker and the Vitamix.  These two gifts have made my crazy life a little more tolerable.

Most registries consist of kitchen and home needs like cookware and kitchen gadgets. Don't be afraid to register for some fun stuff too! People like to buy you things you want as well as what you actually need. I suggest items like Apple TV, airline gift cards, board games, or even portable Bluetooth speakers.

Another little tip for you little brides out there....write 'thank you' notes IMMEDIATELY after receiving a gift. Then, write down your gift and who it is from in a notebook with a  check mark next to it.  If you can stay on top of this, it will make it easier on you.

This whole process goes by so quickly, so enjoy every moment of it!




 

Working Pretty

Every girl needs a special space in their home, whether it's to read, to write, or to just relax. That place for me is a desk. 

Matt recently put a desk and chair (identical to the ones above) in my closet for Valentine's Day. I couldn't wait to fix it up!

I definitely recommend coffee table books, a fun candle, and a good lamp. I'm also OBSESSED with the donut coasters above for my coffee cup. This will no doubt be my sanctuary of peace and online shopping.

Dogs are equal to humans in my family. Between my sister, brother, parents and I we have 6! Every year the dogs get stockings and presents for Christmas (as they should!) 

I love the gifts above! Any pup would be lucky to have any of them under the tree this year! 

If you don't have a fur baby, local shelters are always taking donations! Those angel pups would love a warm bed and food!

There Is No Place Like Target For The Holidays

My recent trip to Target to buy coffee turned into a cart FULL of Christmas decor and gifts! Everywhere I looked I saw my favorites...fur, plaid and golds!!! 

You guys, I was like a kid in a candy store! I came home with a trunk load of goodies and Matt asked if I lost my mind (which I kind of did). 

Literally something for ANY holiday event!  I can't wait to decorate my house this year from the tree to the bar cart...pics to follow.

Now get off of here and head to Target before these lovelies are gone!
